Opening Exhibition: Re-Formation

We warmly invite you to join us for the opening of our newest exhibition, Re-Formation on Saturday, 29 August 2026 at 15h00 at OpenArtExchange, Hoogstraat 85, Schiedam. Re-formation features the works of two contemporary Beninese artists: Sanda Amadou & Marcel Kpoho. The exhibition will be on view until October 10th, 2026.
For the opening, we are pleased to welcome Sanda Amadou, who will be present to share insights into his work and artistic practice. Accompanied by music and bites, we invite you to join us for an afternoon of art, conversation, and exchange.
Re-Formation presents a selection of works created by Amadou and Kpoho during their summer residency at OpenArtExchange. Exploring ideas of transformation and renewal, the exhibition considers the past not as something static, but as something that can be reinterpreted and reshaped. Meanings shift, ecosystems regenerate, and memories are continually rewritten through the present. By re-forming what already exists, Amadou and Kpoho invite viewers to consider what can be reinvented, reshaped, and carried forward into different futures.
