Februari 2-4, we are once again participating in Art Route Schiedam! The “Art Route Schiedam” is a fascinating cultural event that takes place in Schiedam, Netherlands. This art route, which coincides with Rotterdam Art Week, offers art lovers the opportunity to explore the historic city center of Schiedam. The route is approximately 5 kilometers long and passes twelve cultural locations, including museums, galleries, and other art spaces. Participants on the route can enjoy a varied and high-quality art program, with multiple exhibition openings and music performances at various locations along the route. What is special about this route is that it runs through the old city center of Schiedam, with its monumental museum quarter, harbours, mills and the oldest city park in the Netherlands.

At OpenArtExchange the exhibition ‘Hello 2024!’ is on display with highlights from the permanent collection, consisting of paintings, drawings, watercolors, collages, textile and mixed media works and sculptures in a wide variety of styles. In addition, a sneak peek is given about the plans for the renovation and expansion of the building. The weekend will conclude festively on Sunday with our participation in the ‘Peeking at the neighbours' performance festival with performances by Rotterdam singer-songwriter Nathalie Solar Lago at 12:00, 1:30 and 3:00 PM at Hoogstraat 85, Schiedam.
