Opening Solo Exhibition - Souleymane Konaté

13 September 2025 by

On Saturday, September 6th, OpenArtExchange proudly opened the solo exhibition of Ivorian artist Souleymane Konaté. Part of our House of the Future II – Common Grounds program, the exhibition features a series of eleven vibrant works, each exploring the values central to living together, dialogue, tolerance, respect, and freedom of expression, translated into Konaté’s signature colourful and symbolic compositions.

The opening was a lively and joyous afternoon, filled with warm conversation, engaging reflections, and, of course, vibrant contemporary art. Guests had the rare opportunity to immerse themselves fully in Konaté’s universe, experiencing how his hybrid figures and layered compositions reflect both personal observation and collective human values.

This solo exhibition sits within the larger framework of House of the Future II – Common Grounds, the second chapter of our ongoing project imagining the city of tomorrow. Alongside the works of Kingsley Ogwara, Habibi Yayé Keita, Michael Agemo, and Feraul Fosso, Konaté’s series adds a deeply personal and thought-provoking perspective to the themes of social cohesion, community, and shared futures.

The exhibition will be on view until October 4th, 2025, and we warmly invite you to visit and experience it in person! A rare opportunity to explore not only the work of a remarkable self-taught artist but also to reflect on the values that unite us as humans.
