Jeffrey Burger
Visual artist | The Netherlands
Jeffrey Burger, painter, sculptor and graphic designer is fascinated by the development of mankind as a social species and where this ends with the almost endless possibilities that technology offers. His singularity study results in semi-abstract portraits and figures in layers of painted iron mesh, 3D compositions in clean-cut horizontal and vertical lines, floating straight on the wall or another surface in a distant, almost photographic perfection.

Portrait
Jeffrey Burger (1971) is a visual artist with initially a graphic design education, who early on started to focus on painting. His experiments with other techniques with 3D effects for his singularity study, led him to start creating art works in painted iron mesh, which he sometimes combines with oil painting. The basic elements for his artworks are the old antique world, our contemporary world and the future. He is fascinated by the development of mankind as a social species and where this ends with the almost endless possibilities that technology offers.
His paintings are created in a hyperrealistic style with a surrealistic twist clearly influenced by Magritte and Dali. In more recent years, he investigates singularity and transhumanity by creating semi-abstract portraits and figures in layers of painted iron mesh, 3D compositions in clean-cut horizontal and vertical lines, floating straight on the wall or another surface. With their transparency and 3D effect, his works tend to a distant, almost photographic perfection.
Over the years Burger has participated in many exhibitions at galeries, independent art spaces, museums and art fairs in various countries, including the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Germany, Spain and the United Arab Emirates / Dubai and can also be found there in various collections.
