“My art is mostly a metaphorical exploration of diverse aspects of the human experience, such as relationships, personal inner struggles, fear, death, love, hate, loneliness, past memories and dreams. “⁠⠀

Benigno Tengo was born in Cabinda (Angola), on September 12th, 1993 from an artistic family. He has been drawing since childhood. In 2017, he quit his ICT studies and later joined the Mawete painting and drawing studio in Luanda(Angola), which is also connected to his brother, the wellestablished painter and sculptor Cristiano Mangovo.

Benigno Tengo is a great talent, who has been exhibiting from the start in Angola and beyond, and is currently seeking further academic fine arts training in Angola.Despite the early stage in his career, he shows already a remarkable own signature and identity and has been exhibiting in Angola, Spain, France and the Netherlands.
