Nubi

Schilder | Nigeria, Benin, Senegal

Nubi has developed his unique artistic signature in sculpting his expressionistic figurative compositions in earthy colours on canvas with jute, acrylic and other mixed media, adding a distinct 3D effect to his works. His work contains limited narrative, but rather focuses on expressing the atmosphere and beauty of daily life sceneries.

Nubi has been exhibiting in many solo and group exhibitions from 1999 onwards and mainly works with galleries across Nigeria, Senegal and Benin. He recently exhibits in the Netherlands and France as well.

His works can be found in quite a few professional collections, notably General Diop in Dakar Senegal, King of Morocco Muhammed VI, Christian Adovelande, former President of the West African Development Bank Lome Togo and Macky Sall, president of Senegal.
