Fouzy creates his works using mixed media and rich, thick textures. His paintings often feature women’s torsos, which appear to be coming out of the canvas.
Portrait
Mahfouz Adedjouma or Fouzy is a young Beninese visual artist. He left his job as a notary clerk to devote himself to art. Fouzy’s paintings are often about current facts of our society. His collection of paintings ”Eprouvée” is the expression of observation of the conditions of the women of his entourage but also of all those of the world. For him, beyond messages, art is a means of transmitting silent emotions.
Fouzy often uses banal objects or everyday objects such as a newspaper, a tube of toothpaste or used paintbrushes in his creations. Thick textures and 3D elements are characteristic for his works.
